Clause 4. The words "for Our confirmation or

because they raise doubts as to whether a provisional
member is qualified to act prior to the confirmation
of his appointment.
Clause 8. The words "unless when" are hardly
grammatical.
Clause 25. The words at the end of paragraph 2

should be as of the date when it becomes law, even if it
has a suspending clause which prevents it coming into
operation until some years later.
Clause 26. Recent Instructions have omitted the word
"Our" in the third line of the concluding paragraph
It sometimes happens that for the purposes of
this clause the draft Bill is forwarded for instructions,
and in this case the only thing to do is either to convey
H.M's Instructions for the introduction of the Bill, or
to assent to the Bill after it should be passed.
doubt whether either course is really appropriate
clause probably means that H.M's instructions should be
sought after the Council has passed the Bill.
